She showed him the pictures she took and none of the pictures she took has him in it. They had a connection that she felt and later that day she ran into him again and he asked her out.

She had a hard life losing her parents and he made her happier in life. She smiled more in life. He liked her moment he figured out that she did not know he was. She was refreshing for him and he did not want to tell her who he was because he was scared she would act differently. She found out about him in an unexpected way and she was so angry that day that they nearly broke up because of it but she went to him the next day to talk about it. He was so romantic with her that she was starting to fall in love with him. He took her to meet his family and she stood up for him against his sister and his mother noticed that she might love him.
“Because you’re the first woman I’ve brought into my home and all I can think about is getting your beautiful body naked and fucking you senseless. I need to know if there is any competition. I don’t share, Natalie.”
I loved there relationship and how they thought to be together. They had some hard times and nearly lost each other but they got together in the end and everyone in Natalie’s adoptive family loved Luke and everyone in Luke’s family love her except Sam but later when they nearly lost Luke in an accident they got closer so now they have a better relationship. I really loved this because there love was so romantic and had me gooey inside most of the time.

“Jesus, Quick. You’re a freak of nature. You know that, right?”
Armie Jacobson, known as Quick to his fighter friends, ignored the complaint and threw a few more jabs, then a solid body shot, making Justice, a six-foot-five heavyweight, double over. Stepping back, Armie flexed his hands, bounced on the balls of his feet, and waited.
Unfortunately, Justice only put his hands on his knees and sucked air.
Frowning, Armie removed his mouthpiece. “Seriously? Come on, dude. Let’s go.”
“Screw you.” Schlepping back to his corner, Justice grabbed up a water bottle. He doused his head and chest, and then started chugging.
Aware of others watching, Armie said nothing. Everyone worked out, trained and sparred in the rec center, but lately, whenever he did, a dozen or more people stopped to watch. He didn’t mind an audience. Hell, he couldn’t be a competitor if he did. For the most part he paid no attention. Once he got in the cage, he went into a zone and the world receded.
But this insane ogling shit, like he was a damned sideshow, bugged him big-time.
A trickle of sweat tracked down his temple from his headgear, and he swiped a forearm over his face. His muscles burned and more sweat soaked his chest, abs and rolled down his spine. He was figuring out what to say to Justice to get him back in action when he picked up her scent. The faint perfume cut through the rec center air, thick with the smells of sweaty men working hard.
Trying to look casual, Armie stared at Justice but in his peripheral vision he saw her striding across the room. No mistaking that long-legged gait, or that longer dark hair. He swallowed, frozen.
“What?” Justice asked, sounding both suspicious and ridiculously alarmed with the way Armie had locked onto him.
Armie shook his head – and thankfully Merissa disappeared into the hallway leading to the offices.
Releasing a breath, he looked toward the clock and frowned. Yeah, they’d been at it for a while, maybe longer than he’d intended. His cardio was better than most, definitely better than Justice’s, the big lug.
Armie walked over to him. “You need to get more gas in the tank.”
“Go fuck yourself.”
When Armie grinned, Justice eyed him warily. “Stop it.”
That switched his grin to a frown. “Bitchy much?”
Justice slouched against the wall and glared back. “You shouldn’t be able to grin, you prick. You should be as tired as me.”
A natural trainer, Armie took pity on him. “You’re a lot bigger.” As a six-foot tall middleweight, Armie stood five inches shorter and weighed a lot less than Justice.
“Lotta good it does me.”
Squatting down in front of him, Armie said low, “People are watching, so stop whining.”
Justice’s gaze slipped past him and he groaned.
“Yeah, the big dogs are here again.” Damned nosy bastards. Ever since he’d signed with the SBC, the powers-that-be had been scoping him out like their newest lab rat. “Stand up, go another two minutes with me, then we’ll call it quits.”
Huffing out a breath, Justice lumbered to his feet. “Freak of nature,” he muttered again, but he followed Armie out to the center of the ring, and he did his best.
His best was nowhere near good enough against Armie.
But then, they fought for very different reasons.
Twenty minutes later, fresh from the showers, Armie was ready to head out. The mid February weather left frost on every surface, so he tugged on a stocking hat over his still wet hair and pulled a thick hooded sweatshirt on over his clothes. Carrying his gym bag, he entered the main area cautiously. This late in the day, the mats were now cleared. Miles and Brand took their turn mopping with sanitizer. Many of the lights were turned down and only the core group of friends remained, clustered together in conversation.
The SBC heads were gone, and better still, he didn’t see Merissa anywhere. She’d probably just been dropping off paperwork for her brother, Cannon, who owned the rec center.
Relieved, Armie started for the door. With any luck, he’d manage it before someone stopped him –
“Hey, Armie.”
Damn. After a slight hesitation, he turned to where Denver, Stack and Cannon all stood together. “What’s this? The three Married Musketeers?”
Stack, who’d only married a month ago, reeked of satisfaction. “Aw, he’s jealous.”
Yup. But since he’d die before admitting it, Armie said, “Nope.”
Denver, still a newlywed himself, grinned. “Probably lonely too, poor guy.”
Very. Groupies, orgies, and random one-night stands could only take a guy so far. He had a rep for sexual excess, and that’s what the ladies wanted from him. That, and nothing more.
Checking the time, Armie said, “I could be lonely with three very nice ladies if you yahoos would let me leave.”
Unlike the others, Cannon didn’t laugh. “Seriously? Again?”
Why the hell did his best friend have to sound so disapproving? And if he knew why Armie had made those plans, he’d probably be pissed as well as disapproving, because it was thoughts of Cannon’s little sis that he worked so hard to obliterate. Not that a foursome would accomplish much beyond taking the edge off. His obsession with Merissa seemed to amplify by the day.
Copping an attitude, Armie shrugged. “Yeah, really. Unless you have something –” Or someone “- better for me to do?”
“As a matter of fact, that’s why I wanted to talk to you.”
Well hell. He hadn’t figured on that. Armie ran a hand over his hair. “Then let’s hear it.”
“Yvette wanted everyone to come over tonight to hang out and visit.”
Armie adored Yvette. She was perfect for Cannon and a real sweetheart. But damn… “Who all will be there?”
With a very knowing smile, Cannon said, “Everyone important to us. So don’t miss it.”
Double damn. Merissa definitely counted as important.
Armie didn’t want to, but with all the guys eyeballing him, how could he refuse? “What time?”
“Now.”
Armie scowled. “What do you mean, now?”
“Now, as in you don’t have time to do anything else, so forget it.”
Justice came dragging out, his faux-hawk hair still wet, his goatee in need of a trim, and his cauliflower ears worse than ever. He shoulder-bumped Armie as he passed. “If you hadn’t been determined to cripple me, maybe you’d have had more time for playing.”
“Wuss,” Armie accused with a grin.
“He has a point,” Brand said as he pushed a mop bucket toward them.
Miles, giving one last swipe of the mat, followed him. “Keep pushing that hard and you’re liable to hurt something before the competition.”
“I still have two months.” Two months of freedom and he’d spend it however he wanted. Sure, Armie knew there were established training methods, but they weren’t for him. Never had been, never would be – no matter who he fought for.
“This isn’t local fighting anymore,” Denver reminded him.
As if he’d forget.
“Carter Fletcher isn’t a slouch,” Miles added. “You might not walk through him like you do the local guys.”
“They call him Chaos for a reason.” Brand frowned. “I’ve seen him fight and he’s unpredictable.”
Yeah, so his first opponent was supposed to be a stud. Big deal. Armie shrugged to show he didn’t really care. Not that long ago the SBC, the most widely known MMA organization, had run him to ground and all but coerced him into signing on with them. Cannon had helped with that, pushing him to take the next step since he’d already demolished all the records in local venues.
It was a big step, too, something all the other guys had worked for. The SBC paid a lot more and offered incredible name recognition. Their fighters traveled the world to compete.
But Armie liked being low key; it was a hell of a lot safer for multiple reasons. If it wasn’t for Cannon –
“He’ll do fine against Carter,” Cannon said. “And don’t worry about his training. Armie motivates differently, that’s all.”
Always, no matter what, Cannon had his back. As the only other person to know why he’d avoided fame and fortune, Cannon understood. They weren’t related, but they were brothers all the same.
Which was the second biggest reason he couldn’t, shouldn’t, crave Merissa the way he did. Cannon protected those he loved.
And he loved his sister a lot.
“It’s getting late,” Cannon added. “Don’t want to keep Yvette waiting.”
Glad for the switch in topic, Armie pulled out his phone. “Guess I better make some calls and let the ladies know I won’t make it after all.”
Stack looked at Denver. “If it was anyone but Armie, I’d think he was making it up.”
“Lonely,” Denver confirmed.
Armie walked away knowing they were right.

Last year I discovered this author and I think that was the best thing I ever discovered. I have nearly read all of her books and I have reread this entire series twice now. So the moment I got a chance read the Advanced Readers Copy, I jumped for the chance. I absolutely adore this author and trust me I loved this book. I didn’t think I would like it that much because I really didn’t like Fleur in previous book but strangely enough I loved her.
This book focuses on Jani a Tiger shifter and a feisty and strong Fleur who is a wolf shifter. Fleur just got out an abusive relationship with a cult leader August Crane and she wants to finally change her life. She is now on a mission to save her mother. When she left on that mission, Jani didn’t like it so he went to track her down. Now that Fleur escaped August Crane she is now set on living her life on her own terms but Jani needs to protect her and he wants to help her but he wants to keep her safe at Gemini Island Resort. They wind each other up so much but there sexual attraction is nearly off the charts and it can’t be fought. They fight their attraction at first but thankfully they saw the light after a pushes from friends.
Jani saw something in Fleur that no one else saw including herself and he makes it his priority to make her see it. He wants to help her recover from the abuse she endured and he needs her to see her self-worth. Fleur wants to belong somewhere but she feels that the people in Geminin Island does not want her. Jani made sure to set her straight on that. Fleur became good friends with Elaine and Suzan and later the others on Gemini Island started trusting her as well. Even though August Crane is dead she still somehow got abused subconsciously by him. It’s like his spirit decided to abuse her and that nearly killed her if she didn’t have Jani to give her support then she might have been lost.
I really enjoyed this book. I would so easily reread this book along with the entire series again. I loved that Fleur finally found an HEA. With all those emotions that she had to go through made her stronger. You know she earned her HEA. You can feel it. Jani was such a great hero and I really loved him. He was strong for Fleur and I think she needed someone to be strong for her. Everybody needs someone to keep them strong.
The ending was very tense and totally unexpected and I loved it. This is an absolutely wonderful book with so much emotions and sexy hot men. I loved every second of it. I cannot wait to see what comes next. I need to see what will happen to Barbi and Elaine. I want Elaine to be happy again because my heart breaks every time for her. I want both to have a happily ever after.

I love all the books that Miss Mathewson has written so far. All her books always makes me laugh and I just adore her NFH series but sometimes I love Paranormal Romance novels and this novel is just the way to go I adore this series and it is nice to have a shifter as the lead characters for once in the PYTE/SENTINEL Series.

“How you doing?” he asked in a voice full of concentration she found utterly sexy. Just the thought that he was permanently altering her skin—just like he’d permanently altered her heart, her life, her very soul—sent a hot thrill through her blood.
“I’m good,” she said, relaxing into the sensation of the bite moving across her skin. “Is it weird that I kinda like how it feels?”
He didn’t answer right away as the needle moved in a long line. He pulled the machine away and wiped at her shoulder. “Not weird at all,” he said, his voice a little gravelly. “Some people like the sensation and even find getting tattoos addictive.”
“I can see that,” she said. He worked without talking for a stretch, and the combination of the quiet intensity radiating off of him, the driving rock beat, and the buzz of the machine was heady and intoxicating. She found herself breathing a little faster and wanting so much more of him to be touching so much more of her. If she thought he was sexy putting ink on someone else, it was nothing compared to how she felt when he was doing it to her.
“What are you thinking about so hard?” Nick asked, his breath caressing her bare shoulder.
“Really want to know?” she asked, already smiling at what his reaction might be.
“Always,” he said, wiping at her skin. He dipped the machine in the ink and leaned in again.
“How turned on this is making me.” She really wanted to turn to see his expression but knew she wasn’t supposed to move.
He pulled the machine away again. “Jesus, Becca. You’re killing me here.”
She grinned. “I asked if you really wanted to know.”
Nick chuffed out a laugh. “Yeah, well, I’ve never had a fucking hard-on the entire time I’ve done a tattoo before, so you’re not the only one.”
Becca unleashed a small moan. “Now you’ve got me thinking about your cock, Nick.” She couldn’t help the hint of a whine in her voice.

Lately I haven’t been reading a lot of young adult books but I actually love reading books from this author. Now this book is a collection of all the Novellas in this series. I always love reading more from the Shadow Falls gang so I was so excited to read this book. Finally we have this book in print because I actually love have an original book with the entire collection of novellas.
Now the book starts off with the first novella of Della’s story. It is called Turned At Dark in that book we see or learn how Della actually become a vampire. We got to see a first glimpse of Della’s home life and what makes her tick. Saved At Sunrise will be the first mission Della went on for the FRU. The FRU is what we call the FBI in the supernatural world. It has always been Della’s dream of joining the FRU and finally she gets a chance to do so but sadly she could not go alone. Burnett paired her off with Steve anyway I enjoyed seeing their partnership grow and over the moon that it started to grow into something more.
In the novella of Unbreakable we get to see the first glimpse of the very sexy and mysterious vampire, Chase. Here we learn how he became a vampire and how he knows so much of the reborn vampires. I for one always wondered how he knew so much about that. Della’s life was long before intertwined with Chases even before they met and trust me this story made me love Chase so much more. Spellbinder was now the first ever book or novella of Miranda and I really wish she would get her own full series or something. Anyway she goes to Paris for a top spot in a spell casting competition and Perry is also in Paris. She wants to see Perry again, she still loves him no matter what he said for her to move on. I just want them to get back together! What Miranda did not expect would happen to her when she went to Paris was being thrown into a supernatural mystery that the FRU tries to figure out. Miranda learns so much about herself and her family which I tell you was quite shocking. The last novella in this book is Fierce written about Fredericka. I always hated her in the Shadow Falls series but trust me this book changed the view I see her. I felt so bad for Fredericka and I was rooting for her to find some happiness. That ending I loved so much and I want to know where her story might take her.
I would easily reread this book and I really want so much more of this author. Maybe something like a series for Miranda. I want to see her having a happy ever after and then I also want more from Fredericka. This was a nice quick read and I enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this collection of novellas.
